Realtors and Mortgage Professionals – Let’s Support the Wounded Warriors Project

On Saturday August 6th, we lost a friend and a great American. Tragically, the helicopter carrying Navy SEAL Petty Officer First Class Chris Campbell was shot down over eastern Afghanistan, killing him and 29 other American soldiers. Chris’ life was characterized by fervent patriotism, devotion to his family, and a passion for helping people. A Jacksonville native, Chris graduated from nearby White Oak High School.

Derek, Stephanie and I had the distinct privilege of going to school with and growing up alongside of Chris. In honor of our fallen friend and his wishes, we will be donating $25 from each closing in the name of Chris Campbell to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project was designed to honor and empower wounded service members. These individuals chose to defend our country, and that is why we honor them. We want to thank you for helping us celebrate Chris Campbell’s life.

For every closing from September 1st through December 1st 2011, we will proudly make a donation in Chris’ name to the Wounded Warrior Project. Our goal is to donate $2,500. Walter Whitehurst with Wilkinson and Associates Real Estate has also joined in and will be donating $25 for every closing his office has the rest of the year. Hopefully other real estate and mortgage professionals will join us and make this an even larger celebration.

Thanks, Rob Peterson, Derek Hartley, and Stephanie Burroughs
